The aftermath of tragedy always leaves one with the question of "Why God?"

Jessica asked this question for 2 years after her family's death.  Due to her anger, she started turning away from school, friends, family, and God.  Then one day, unexpectedly, God answered her.

It was another normal holiday with her family in Mexico.  Everyone was packed in the car and headed back to the States.  Her mom turned around and smiled lovingly at her children, but in the blink of an eye, everything changed for Jessica.

I'm honored to kick this season off with my best friend's story. "Seeing Kendall" will be a two-part series. Afterward, there will be a 3 part series entitled "The Lighthouse" where our paths merge.

Kendall's life as a child was not all it seemed to be.  Had you opened her front door, you would see a family living in emotional abuse constantly in a state of terror.  Their picture-perfect family was cracking at its seams.
