  • The Feminist Playbook: Claiming Our Power To Fight Back With Dr. Joanne Bagshaw

One thing that women of all age groups, races, backgrounds, religions, and sexual orientation seem to have in common is that they question themselves about what is wrong with them in a way that men never do. Dr. Joanne Bagshaw’s book, The Feminist Handbook, highlights this issue and takes the spotlight off women, shining it on the patriarchy and the male-dominated system. On today’s podcast, Dr. Bagshaw joins Alicia Dunams in an eye-opening conversation about dismantling the patriarchal system and claiming our own power to create a better world for ourselves and the future generations.

  • Know Your Worth With Elaine Turner

As women, it’s very easy to measure our worth against the standards and expectations of others, especially if we’re finding ourselves in a leadership position. We lead a life full of insecurity, of the anxiety that we might stumble and fall short of those expectations. We think of life as a journey towards something worthy. What we don’t realize is that worth has been riding with us all along. We are whole and worth already lives inside of us, without any need for validation from anybody. Designer, author, podcast host and personal growth coach Elaine Turner is on a mission to help other women leaders realize this truth. Listen to her empowering insights as she joins Alicia Dunams today to talk about this journey to self-worth – a vulnerable and self-compassionate journey back to the self.

Through her book, From Bad to Badass Leader, she inspires people to become powerful leaders and impact others’ lives through her stories. She joins host Alicia Dunams to share some of them with us, taking us through the moments where she considered herself a bad leader and eventually turned it all around by being a badass at what she does. Michelle moves us across the steps of her own evolution and how she has positively impacted not only herself but also her team in the process. What is more, she then discusses the book writing process and how it made her a better leader.

  • Taking Sexy Back: Breaking Away From Stigma And Moving Towards Healthier Intimate Relationships With Dr. Alexandra Solomon

As humans, we may pride ourselves as having achieved a lot over the millennia, but when it comes to women’s sexuality, we are in many ways still pretty much stuck to where we were 10,000 years ago. The topic of sex, especially when it concerns women’s sexual desires and fantasies, remains taboo, and it often hinders women from making the most out of their intimate relationships. How do we break away from the fear, judgment, and silence that characterize our relationship with sex? Relationship therapist Dr. Alexandra Solomon talks about this in her book, Taking Sexy Back: How to Own Your Sexuality and Create the Relationships You Want. In this conversation with Alicia Dunams, Dr. Alexandra expresses the need for us to learn more about our sexuality, be more open about it, and break away from the judgment and fear over its full expression. We may have a long way to go before we can change societal perceptions of sex and sexuality, but taking our sexy back and learning to love bravely is something that we can do for ourselves, and it’s never too late to do that.
