Host Tabatha Pope welcomes Manda Collins to THE LIBRARIAN on Authors on the Air Global Radio Network.

Manda Collins spent her teen years wishing she’d been born a couple of centuries earlier, preferably in the English countryside. Time travel being what it is, she resigned herself to life with electricity and indoor plumbing, and read lots of books. An affinity for books led to a graduate degree in English, followed by another in Librarianship. She now writes full time in the coastal Alabama house her mother grew up in, with three cats, a dog, and more books than strictly necessary. Learn more about Manda and her books on her website.

Welcome to NASTY WOMEN JANUARY: FEMALE CRIME FICTION WRITERS!  HOST PAM STACK KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR AND THIS SPECIAL MONTH BY INTRODUCING PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE AUTHOR A.J. BANNER.

As a child, A. J. Banner loved reading everything from Nancy Drew to Tolkien to her parents’ spy novels, “borrowed” from their bookshelves and hidden beneath her pillow. She wrote her first thriller, Mystery at Crane Corner, at the age of 11. She drew her own cover art and bound the pages with staples.   Born in India and raised in North America, A. J. graduated from high school in southern California and received degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. She tried various professions after college, including a stint in law school and a memorable job at a veterinary clinic, since she loves animals, but eventually she returned to writing. Her first novel of psychological suspense, THE GOOD NEIGHBOR, is now available on Kindle and in audiobook and paperback formats from Lake Union Publishing. Her second novel in the same genre, THE TWILIGHT WIFE, will be released 12/27/16 from Touchstone, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.  http://ajbanner.com/

Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes pal Russell Blake back to the studio to celebrate the season.

We're going to open up the phones lines so listeners can ask us anything they want.  We may not tell the truth but that hasn't stopped us yet.

Russell will give his sage advise about which brand of tequila to use at your holiday parties and which male revues to send your visitors to.  We might talk about pets but we won't talk about politics.

Authors and readers are welcome to call in and ask Russell about writing 51 books in 5 years and tell us about their favorite books too.  Don't be shy.  Give a call to 347-633-9609.

Friends, this is your time so give a ring and send off 2016 with a bang!
