Today we are going to give you our list of 10 things everyone needs to know about autism. We definitely blow apart some common stereo types.

Here is the list:

There is no cure for autism.

They have a great deal of empathy. (They may not understand social cues but if they are spoke to in a direct way they can show a lot of empathy)

Many people on the spectrum can learn to build and maintain relationships.

10% of people on the spectrum have an IQ on the genius level.

They can have a great sense of humor.

They are no more violent then other people.

Most people on the spectrum do not have an intellectual disability.

Everyone on the spectrum is completely unique.

Many people on the spectrum can have loving relationships.

It is possible for people on the spectrum to grow and develop new skills.
