On today's show author Jane Fischer joins Shannon to discuss parenting children with medical challenges and disabilities. Jane's daughter has Joubert Syndrome, a rare disorder affecting the brain and the body. Jane rejected the limiting beliefs or her daughter's medical team, advocated for her daughter and in doing so changed her daughter's life. Jane has chronicled her daughter's journey in her book, If You Knew Suzy, Pushing the Boundaries of Never. The jargon of the day is Joubert Syndrome.
