Bryan Bogue is an original core team member from the days when Autumn Ridge Community Church consisted of four families gathering for regular prayer in a living room. He is also a newly-minted PhD (Old Testament) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, and he serves as the Director of the Victory Christian Center in Ellijay, GA. In this sermon, Bryan utilized Psalm 32 and Matthew 18:21-35 to illustrate:

Through the death and resurrection of Christ, God the Father has forgiven his people of a dept they could never afford to repay (i.e. sin).

As people who have been infinitely forgiven, God's people are expected and empowered to forgive one another - even in instances in which a great offense has been committed.

Lev. 6:24-27: holiness isn’t passed on indirectly, but through direct contact with the instrument of God’s pardon for sin (substitute).

Num. 5:1-4: unholiness/uncleanliness CAN be indirectly communicated.

21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard… (Colossians 1:21-23a)
