  1. Number 1: The Most Hated Woman in America

It started with a letter taped onto the front door of the American Atheist Headquarters in Austin, TX on August 28, 1995. The letter claimed that the organization’s founding family, Madalyn Murray-O’Hair, her son Jon Murray, and granddaughter Robin had been called away for an emergency and not to worry. At first, nothing seemed strange other than their swift departure, but after about a week, members of the organization started to worry. This is a story of greed, abduction, and murder.SOURCEShttps://www.mtsu.edu/first-amendment/article/1272/madalyn-murray-o-hairhttps://www.newsweek.com/madalyn-murray-ohair-most-hated-woman-america-netflix-atheism-biopic-574697https://www.nytimes.com/topic/person/madalyn-murray-ohairBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/autumn-s-oddities--5307439/support.

  3. Number 3: Project Stargate: Psychics in the Military

In September 1995, the US military both publicly revealed and shut down Project Stargate, a 23-year, $20m (£12m) program of psychic spying, or remote viewing. The project began in 1972 after the CIA became concerned by reports that the Soviet Union was spending substantial resources on what it called "psychotronics" - or research into potential military applications of psychic and fringe-science phenomena. This is the U.S. government's foray into psychic spying. 4. Number 4: Cursed Objects Vol. 1

Just as spirits are known to attach themselves to places that held meaning during their lives, they’re also known to attach to their favorite objects, unwilling to let them go even in death. From haunted bunk beds to Valentino's ring to James Dean's Little Bastard, these objects have brought only pain and suffering to those who possess them. 5. Number 5: The Good Hart Murders

Richard and Shirley Robison decided to spend the summer with their four children at their vacation home near Good Hart park, as they typically did. Their log cabin was located in the north woods on the shore of Lake Michigan. Secluded among the dense forest, the cabin was nearly impossible to see from the road. This peaceful area provided the setting for a gruesome massacre that remains unsolved more than 50 years later.
