The film, “Origin,” was inspired by Isabel Wilkerson’s New York Times bestselling non-fiction book “Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents,” and unravels the unspoken systems that define hierarchy and human divisions across place and time. During the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, DuVernay returned to the filming location and joined Paula Wallace for a behind-the-scenes look into the making of "Origin."
