Reading the Bible is just one aspect of getting God's word into your life. Memorizing and meditating are two great ways to soak your heart in scripture. Another one is praying scripture. 

Jesus tells a parable of 4 types of soil that are representations of how our hearts receive the Word of God. We should have a receptive heart. The attitude that we have when we read cultivates the soil of our hearts. 

The Bible is actually a library of books. Today we talk about who wrote it, how it's laid out, and how it all fits together as one incredible story about Jesus. 

Let's get started! We can easily make excuses as to why we don't read the Bible. If we were, to be honest...as Christians, we can be just plane lazy. Let's change that!
