Have you ever had a sugar craving you just can't kick.  Well this week I had a craving of being in a sea of Bibles or maybe a mattress full is a better way to explain it.  It was as if I needed to be completely covered and surrounded by physical Bibles.  I took that to mean I needed to be engulfed in God's Word.  Completely inundated by it, a literal soak in His scripture.  

Well, if you want to hear the rest you should listen to the episode.  Suffice to say God was calling me to be in His word & in His presence so I could be ready for a moment that would come the next day where I would need His supernatural help.

Sometimes we can get caught up in keeping pace with the world.  Before we know it we are exhausted by the constant flow and movement at a pace that just isn't sustainable.  We find ourselves wondering, "how did I even get here, and how do I get out?"  

Today's episode is the release you are looking for.  Matthew 6 reminds us that God calls us to store up treasure in heaven and not on this earth that means we can stop striving to keep up with earthly gains and start focusing Jesus and the good work He is calling us to.

This week the teaching reviews these chapters.  Please take a moment to go read these chapters first before you listen.  Its so important that you are in the word yourself first and foremost building your own relationship with God and His word before you listen to anyone else's understanding of the scripture. 

This week we look at perspective.  The proverbial "Forest for The Trees".  How can we step back from our situation and seek God's perspective above our own and walk forward in His leading.  I hope you are blessed by this message that God goes before you and is in the situation with you and He wants to show you the way through if you'll just seek Him first.

In Psalm Chapter 5 David cries out to the Lord His lament.  He is woefully laying down his fears and trepidations before the feet of his mighty God.  

His cry out is matched with deep faith and trust.  He does not just hope the Lord will hear and answer his cry, he expects God to.  

We too should cry out to God with faith above fear knowing our heavenly father will answer us.  Though His answer may not be what we want it to be and it may not come in our timeline God is still good and His response for our good and His glory.  

Join me in an Await & Arise Meditation on the only thing worth meditating on, God's word.  May this episode give some meat to chew on and a pause for your soul. 

Await in His presence, Arise to His call and stay firmly planted in His truth.

Dive into a message about how the enemy would like to use even the smallest of issues to upset what God is doing in your life.  To get your focus off of God and to be distracted by the upsets of everyday life, not that chickens dying is everyday life for many haha.  But for us it has been a season of learning and growing and recognizing how the enemy would like to use these things to tear down our family.  To get us to try to operate in our own strength and not with the might of God.  

Join me as I reflect on scripture and share how our family had to refocus on God even in the situations we think He wouldn't worry about.  Truth is, if it matters to us, it matters to Him and He wants us to seek him and His strength in all things.

You know that place of worship when you come to the point of praising in song, word or emotion and all of the sudden you are brought to stillness?  That moment of peace and no words, just awe for God.  Ya that place.  You know I have a lot of words and I love to speak, but nothing can silence me like the presence of God.  

This week jump into Psalm 8, 29, 33, 65 & 104 with me and learn about the word "await" and what it truly means for all praise to "await" before the Lord.  Our Creator God, sovereign over all the earth and sky.  "Oh LORD, our Lord how majestic is His name in all the earth." Psalm 8:9

Waiting on the Lord can seem like an act of learning patience and often that can be the case that God is teaching us patience.  However in this lesson we look at Psalm 6, 25, 32,51,85, 130 & 143 and how can a spirit willing to wait in service coming to the father with a contrite heart and confidence in His forgiveness and promises for our life we find that yes we still have to learn patience but patience isn't a lesson that is idle instead a lesson in active waiting.  

As one commentator says, waiting is not like waiting in a doctors office for your name to be called, but instead like waiting on guests like a waiter in a restaurant.  We wait on the Lord in service.  

Engage with the word and the teaching in Psalm and learn how you can be waiting on the Lord in service today.

Trusting is one of the hardest lessons we learn as Christians.  To give over or yield our idea of control in full trust of God in all our situations can be difficult, to say the least.  

The truth is that we don't truly have control of any situation so we can experience such freedom from anxiety and overwhelm when we just submit to the Father and trust in His timing and His plan.  

This week we look at deepening our trust in God.  Join in the study of Psalm Chapter 4, 11, 16, 63, 73 & 91.

How important it is to embrace the role we have as women in the home and husbands who lead a family and the attitude by which we carry out those roles.  Maybe our purpose doesn't seem so grand in this season, but we know it matters to Christ and His kingdom.  Join me as we reflect on our purpose in Christ and how we glorify God in even the tasks that seem small and not relevant.  It's all relevant and deserves your attitude to be one that glorifies God.
