Todays message is based on my newest book Harbinger of Hope based on an encounter I had with the Lord. In it we investigate hopelessness and how to overcome it.

Your work in the world is as important to God as your worship in church. When we recognize the 'better story' of God's plan for our lives we find greater purpose, significance, impact, and influence in our world. This is God's plan for our lives.

Jesus said "Blessed is everyone who is not offended by Me." The twists and turns and difficulties that we experience, along with the unmet expectations that we have in life will try to get us offended with Jesus. Keeping our eyes on Him and not elevating my own interests or the images in my mind of how God will do things is key to overcoming and not being offended.

When we invite God and His Kingdom to intentionally invade the soil of our lives, impartation occurs. If we will unite with His Kingdom Strategy in this process, a harvest of Blessing is imminent. He promises to multiply our capacity AS WE SOW. 2 Corinthians 9:8-10

Unchallenged mindsets can be very harmful. We often hear the phrase, “higher levels, higher devils.” But is this true? Is the enemy really “holding off” from attacking you until you reach a higher level of faith, confidence and spiritual authority?

In this encouraging and also challenging message, David Olinger talks about the ways that wrong believing often causes to “work” for things that God has given us freely. Likewise, unchallenged mindsets can also prevent us from taking responsibility in our lives for things that God has given us to nurture and grow through hard work and discipline.

We are a part of the world-wide body of Jesus Christ. The body He loves and died for. We are encouraged by the scriptures to be aware of, help and pray for those members of the body of Jesus who are suffering and in need around the world. When we do these things, we are serving Him personally. This Sunday is a day to remember and pray for and give toward those.

There are essentials of the faith that are vital for all who believe and follow Jesus. There are also non-essentials that are often important in our daily lives that have an effect on us and can keep us from the highest and best. In this message, Matt discusses the essential of knowing we are sons and daughters of God, while he also addresses two non-essentials of can a Christian drink alcohol and the what it might look like when Jesus returns.

In this message, Matt dives into exploring what has separated believers for centuries and addresses common sacred cows of today that tend to divide rather than unify.

There are essentials to the Christian faith and to salvation that we focus on and uphold. There are are also non-essentials that fill our world and culture that we grapple with and are important. This is the first of three parts of a series that Matt is sharing on regarding the non-essentials, intended to help us have clarity, follow the Holy Spirit and decide for ourselves what is true and how we are to live in this world.

The process we go through to get to promises fulfilled in our lives require not only our participation but perseverance as well. It is so worth it.
