Steve Witt's message to the Awake congregration on Sunday morning

Over the centuries and to this day, the enemy has twisted the perception of the Father of all life. The invisible God that doesn’t defend Himself has been viewed as someone that He is not, marred by lies and by imperfect human fathers. In this message, Matt shares how the perfect representative of the Father came to earth to begin removing the layers of misconception regarding His Father. The mission of Jesus had many elements and one of those was to reveal the heart, compassion and patient love of His Dad.

Many leaders and successful people keep the secrets of their success close to their chest, along with their wealth hidden for themselves. Jesus was the exact opposite. He not only has all of the secrets to success and power, but He shares it openly, even desiring that we not only do what He did, but even greater. Then He shares with us how. Those who follow Him have the same heart, sharing our secrets of success with others, discipling and sharing what we have so that those behind us go beyond us.

Each person was uniquely created to communicate and have relationship with God. We can hear His voice and like any close relationship, He speaks daily. One of the most beneficial and rewarding disciplines for every human is to listen for Him in every form He chooses to speak through. God audibly spoke to the disciples from heaven, encouraging them to listen to Jesus. The greatest adventure awaits the one who listens to God.

The Ark of the Covenant is also called the Ark of Testimony and inside of it were supernatural things including the stone tablets, manna and Aarons rod that budded. These items represented some of the supernatural things that God had done for His people and the Ark itself represented the presence of God. Today, we represent the place where God dwells (1 Cor 6:19). We are His ark and inside of us are supernatural testimonies of what He has done. Healing, deliverance and the impossible becoming possible. During this message, several people from Awake Church reveal some of the testimonies inside of them of what God has done.

History is a collection of stories from the beginning until now. While we are alive and breathing during this moment in time, we have an opportunity to be great and to create stories that will be told forever. Jesus said that the greatest in the Kingdom are the “servants of all,’ and Isaiah 35 describes the pathway to greatness - encouraging people, strengthen others and speaking hope into the lives of everyone around us. We can be known in eternity as one of the great ones by the way that we live unhindered faith and selfless love to others here.
