In chapter one, we learn of the plight of Arjuna, who finds himself in a moment of crisis as he questions his part in the impending war with his kinsman. Before getting to Krishna’s answer in chapter two, we talk about the many hidden gems in this first chapter, and how it is essentially an allegory for the battle of life.

The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient Indian poem that follows the conversation of Arjuna (who represents any man) and Sri Krishna (the Divine/ Godhead/ All Supreme). This epic is an analogy for the internal war within and gives instructions to reach Samadhi (enlightenment/ Nirvana).
