This weeks practice is centred on developing the ability to EMBRACE FEELINGS without pushing them away.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
· We all experience difficult feelings every day. To be progressing towards more self-understanding and inner stability we need to develop the ability to consciously feel difficult feelings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
· Difficult feelings include shame, embarrassment, sadness, depression, hopelessness, fear and anxiety-amongst many others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
· Culture has taught us to suppress feelings rather than accept them and experience them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
· We need to consciously reverse this process until we are able to experience difficult feelings willingly. Only then will these difficult feelings process and be released.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
· If we are suppressing them even subtly, these feelings remain with us clouding and obscuring our ability to experience the vitality of life.
