Prepare for an emotional roller coaster. The great and holy week begins with the cheers and seeming triumph of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. No sooner, however, do we say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" than we realize we have been ushered to the foot of the cross and the darkness of the shocking outcome of His coming – suffering, hatred, blood, and death. Our joyful, hopeful expectations have been dashed and we have been reduced to despair. This is what John the Baptist meant when he called us to repent. So He will take the repentant, tearful soul and restore life in the resurrection, life even better than we had ever dreamed or hoped. Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect! Thanks be to God!
Here at AZchurch.com, we're all about people because GOD is all about people. One of the ways we express our love for God is through our love for each other, and we do that by helping each person grow in their relationship with the Word.
Our vision is to see God transform our neighbors, community, and the world as we connect people to Jesus.
