In this episode, B is For... Beauty! I'm talking to Chicago based licensed esthetician, Samantha Dench.
She talks about how to make the correct choices for our skin, depending on our age, and how poor internal wellness can prevent clear skin, no matter what fancy, expensive creams we're applying day after day.
Samantha wants us to stop hiding behind makeup and to consider natural ways to take care of our skin and lessen the ageing process, from the inside out!
Biohacking is about making your body function better, but when it comes to things like injectables, we're really just training those muscles to stop working. Is there another way?!
We discuss some great tips to actually help REVERSE those things, and how to combat the fact that we start to lose 1% of collagen every year in our thirties.
Tune in to find out what you can start doing in each decade, to make your skin work better, feel better and LOOK better!
Hope you enjoy and please follow/subscribe and rate this podcast if you love it. Carla x
In this weeks mini weekly hack, I talk "Ice Rolling" Have you tried it? Tune in for 5 mins to hear about what it is, why I love it, and why i think you will too. Carla x
In this episode, B is For... Biohacking, Bloating and Bone Broth!
I'm joined by Catherine Farrant, founder of Ossa Organic, and a fountain of knowledge when it comes to biohacking the mind, body and soul.
I first read about Catherine when she and her family were featured in an article all about biohacking families, and I knew I had to talk to her. I love her approach to biohacking and life in general - she's very realistic, down to earth, and very much feels that biohacking does NOT need to be an all or nothing approach. For most people that's just not an option.
We talk about the 80/20 rule of biohacking and living an optimal life - making the best choices 80% of the time and her hack for the other 20% - when the right choice just might not be possible.
Catherine shares some amazing tips on incorporating biohacking into family life, how to mitigate toxic load, for us and for our children, why we need to upgrade our drinking water, how to better know our body and what it needs, how to make your own bone broth... and in general, how making small changes day to day, will lead to massive, positive results.
This interview was an absolute pleasure and I could have chatted to Catherine all day about these topics. Get your notebooks ready!!

In todays mini episode I'm talking about a supplement called 5-HTP, what it is, the benefits, why people take it, and my own experience with it.
5-HTP has been rising in popularity recently, especially amongst women - find out why!
Tune in for a short-but-sweet rundown on one hack, supplement, or just a hot tip for life in general, every week.
In this episode, B is For... Body, Brain, Belief!
I'm joined by Nikki Cassebohm, a WBFF Bikini Pro, Personal Trainer, Wellbeing Coach and Mind & Body Practitioner - she's the full package!
I've been following Nikki for quite a while now, originally through her fitness and competing, but I've loved watching her journey and her progression into womens wellbeing and neuroscience.
This was such a fab interview to start this podcast with. Nikki is intelligent, calm, resilient, knowledgeable, and is just as fascinated about biohacking and neuroscience as I am.
In this episode we talk about the mental dedication required to be a fitness competitor, the 'post comp' effects on the central nervous system that no-one talks about, the power of someone - just one person - believing in you, why you should start journaling - even if you end up writing the same things as Nikki did for the first few months :) - and her fave brain hacks for when she needs to get in full flow mode *take notes!
Nikki has experienced trauma in her life (you can hear more on this in other podcast episodes - just search for her name to listen more...) but through her own extensive learnings, self development, and finding her true passions, she's rebuilt herself and her life, and is now an incredible advocate for womens mental health and a wellbeing entrepreneur.
