This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse the gang gets back to our B-Movie roots as we talk about It! The Terror from Beyond Space from 1958. The film was directed by Edward L. Cahn and stars Marshall Thompson and Shirley Patterson.

The first manned expedition to Mars is decimated by an unknown life form...which stows away on the rescue ship.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse since Arrow Films has been nice and sent us some dvd/blu-rays I though pick one of their resent releases. The film I picked was The Happiness of the Katakuris from 2001. The film was directed by Takashi Miike.

A family moves to the country to run a rustic mountain inn when, to their horror, the customers begin befalling sudden and unlikely fates.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse because of the recent passing of Sir Christopher Lee we thought we would cover one of his films. I picked City of the Dead from 1960.

A young coed (Nan Barlow) uses her winter vacation to research a paper on witchcraft in New England. Her professor recommends that she spend her time in a small village called Whitewood.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse the gang will talk about our recent trip to Mars PA to attend this year’s Monster Bash. This year’s theme was The Mummy films. We had a great time and we would like to share it with the people that did not have a chance to go.

The first Japanese superhero? 

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse the gang will talk about a film one our facebook fans John Detrich posted the trailer for. The film is Golden Bat from 1966. It’s Japanese craziness with Sonny Chiba.

A teenage boy discovers that the planet Icarus is on a collision course with Earth by gazing through his telescope. Scoffed at by the scientific establishment, the boy is kidnapped and brought to a secret UN base in the Japan Alps.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse I’m still in a psychedelic swinging 60’s mood after Danger: Diabolik and I needed a late-‘60s cultural fix. So I thought we would cover 1968s Wonderwall. The film was directed by Joe Massot and stars Jack MacGowran and Jane Birkin and music by George Harrison. 

The eccentric professor Collins lives completely secluded in his chaotic apartment. When the model Penny moves in next to him, he becomes fascinated of her. 

Out for all he can take, seduce, or get away with... 

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse Nic is out this week so we have our friend from the UK Adrian Smith setting in. This week we picked I film that I’ve wanted to talk about for some time. That film is Danger Diabolik from 1968. The film was directed by Mario Bava and stars John Phillip Law and Marisa Mell.

Fey super-thief Diabolik runs around stealing jewels, gold, murdering innocent people, and being a nuisance to the government of a generic European country.

Who are these unholy savages who hunt out their victims by sound alone?

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse we have a special guest. It’s Rod Barnett from The Bloody Pit and Naschy Cast podcasts! Rod’s pick this week is a Spanish horror film Tombs of the Blind Dead from 1972. The film was directed by Amando de Ossorio.

In the 13th century there existed a legion of evil knights known as the Templars, who quested for eternal life by drinking human blood and committing sacrifices. Executed for their unholy deeds, the Templars bodies were left out for the crows to peck out their eyes.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse I thought it was time for a Giant Monster film so I picked Gamera: Guardian of the Universe from 1995.

A hibernating species of giant carnivorous bird is awakened on a Japanese island shortly after the Japanese military encounters an unidentified mass moving beneath the water off-shore.
