This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse Nic thought it would be a good idea if we talk about Mad Max (1979) and Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior (1981) because of the upcoming release of Mad Max: Fury Road on May 15th. Both films where directed by George Miller and star Mel Gibson.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse our friend from the U.K. photographer Mark Mawston works with Arrow Films and he was nice enough to send us some new Arrow U.S.A. Releases. So this week we are talking about a Spaghetti Western called Day of Anger from 1967. The film stars Lee Van Cleff and Giuliano Gemma.

Russian cult movie, maybe…

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse Juan is back as we talk about one of my recent finds. It’s a Russian Sci-Fi film from 1984 called (Zaveshchaniye professora Douelya) Professor Dowell's Testament. Yes it’s another living Head Movie, Yes I know I have a problem. Should be fun!

Professor Dowell and his assistant surgeon Dr. Kern are working on the resurrection of the dead. Dr. Kern kills Dowell in a set up car accident. Professor Dowell's head is now kept alive and used by Dr. Kern for extraction of scientific secrets.

Earth's last battle will be fought in space. 

Today in the B-Move clubhouse we have Darryl Mayeski the editor and chief of SCREEM magazine and he will join gang as we talk about one of his picks. It’s a Sci-Fi film called Silent Running from 1972. The film was directed by Douglas Trumbull and stars Bruce Dern, Huey Dewey and Louie.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse our friend from the U.K. photographer Mark Mawston will join us. Mark picked Blade Runner from 1982. The film was directed by Ridley Scott and stars Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young.

A blade runner must pursue and try to terminate four replicants who stole a ship in space and have returned to Earth to find their creator.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse it’s Mexican Madness week again. Juan picked The Living Head (La cabeza viviente) from 1963. The film was directed by Chano Urueta and stars Abel Salazar and Mauricio Garcés.

A group of archaeologists break into the tomb of an ancient Aztec general, arousing the warrior's head and sending his undead servant out to take revenge on the careless scientists.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse because of IB Melchior’s recent passing I thought we would talk one of his films we haven’t covered yet. I picked Journey to the Seventh Planet from 1962. Filmed in Cinemagic for $75,000 the film stars John Agar and Greta Thyssen. 

A U.N. space expedition to the planet Uranus discovers a bizarrely familiar world right out of their own heads, featuring places and people the crew members recall from their past. It's all part of a fantasy created by the planet's master, a giant, pulsating brain that can also turn their worst thoughts into reality.

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse because of Leonard Nimoy’s recent passing I thought we would talk about another of his films. So this week I picked a made for TV film called Baffled! from 1973. The film stars Leonard Nimoy, Susan Hampshire and Vera Miles,

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse. Its’ all most St. Patrick’s Day so our from Ireland Eric Hillis picked a Giallo  from 1971 Called The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire directed by Riccardo Freda.

In Dublin, a young woman is brutally murdered in her home by a maniac that throws acid in her face and then slits her throat with a razor. Her mangled body is later discovered in the boot of a limousine owned by the Swiss Ambassador Sobiesky.
