The eighth release of this expression has been matured for 10 years in both Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.  Take a listen and see how Master Blender Rachel Barrie selects the perfect marriage of these two cask styles before bottling without chill filtration and at high strength, as was the custom in the days when Guy Fawkes took his courage from the whiskey.

Getting back to the Fine and Rare series, we take a dram of an extinct whiskey, Booker's 3rd Batch of 2015.  

The 3rd in the 2015 limited edition release series is known as "The Center Cut," honoring late Jim Beam Master Distiller Booker Noe, whose favorite part of the rickhouse was the center, the 5th floor. It also refers to his preference for thick slices of center cut meat, cured in his own smokehouse. For this release, current master distiller, his son Fred, continued Booker's legacy of gathering friends around the table to taste and select batches for his next bourbon by consulting a group of whiskey experts for this food-friendly batch, uncut and unfiltered.
