  • Skyzoo | B-Side
Growing up just a block away from The Notorious B.I.G., watching him go from local corner boy to rap superstar, Skyzoo couldn’t help but dream big. The Brooklyn, NY native saw life in all of its "heaven and hell" juxtaposition, being from the infamous home of both Jay-Z and "Do The Right Thing". He started rapping at age nine, writing about what he witnessed on his daily routines as a child. Those years of observation and living have turned into first person narratives that have labeled Skyzoo as a "new legend" and have led to his albums being critically acclaimed by fans and critics alike. His storytelling has been commended by all walks of literary life, from hip hop royalty to university professors and everyone in between.
Listeners can identify with his story, they can see the many sides of themselves in him. No matter the mood, season, or circumstance, Skyzoo offers music to live to, and to live by. The best way to describe him? A performer with the storytelling and lyricism of a young Nas, and the style, appeal and marketability of a young Mase.

  • Maurice "Mobetta" Brown | B-Side
Think Louis Armstrong and his trumpet uploaded for the 21st century to a hiphop beat, and you begin to understand who Maurice "Mobetta" Brown is. Maurice is a classically trained jazzman mentored and supported by the iconic Wynton Marsalis and the legendary Ramsey Lewis. But “Mobetta” is also a hiphop head for life, and that journey on this planet rock literally parallels the history and evolution of rap. Little wonder that Maurice not only blows the roof off God’s sky with his horn, but he also spits lyrics the way Satchmo spit his own brand of vocalese back in the day. Mobetta is a horn-playing-rhyme-spraying- dancing machine that jazz-hiphop collaborators like Donald Byrd and Gang Starr’s Guru or Ron Carter and A Tribe Called Quest fantasized about in the early 1990s. No need to cram to make that jazz-hiphop experiment happen in these times because Maurice Brown is the living and breathing embodiment of it all, a one-stop shop destined to be this era’s Quincy Jones. And then some.

  • RIVA & Bohio Music | B-Side
With a dancer’s grace, Riva Nyri Précil moves between Haiti’s spiritual and artistic traditions and a striking, worldly perspective forged in Brooklyn. Born in New York but raised in Haiti, her visual and sonic world is profoundly hybrid and utterly beautiful.
Out of those same ideals and dreams to uplift and support Haitian Roots known as Racines, Vodou, the perfect alignment was created when, Monvelyno Lead guitar, music director and co-founder, "A tag less phenomenon hard to frame in one capsule and considered a renaissance being to this age", and RIVA met through music, and together seamlessly they created what is known today as Bohio music.

  • Gabriel Royal | B-Side
Influenced by Stevie Wonder’s groove to Burt Bacharach's relaxed, jazzy yet poppy sensibilities, mix in contemporary artists such as John Legend, Flying Lotus, James Blake, Janelle Monae and Thundercat, then you get an idea of Gabriel Royal’s trademark sound-- the result being an easy listening modern chamber pop over the cello.
Gabriel released his self titled album in 2016 - along with his single and music video for “Say It’s Right”, directed by Blake Farber, who has worked with Beyoncé and other Top 40 artists. • G Milano | B-Side
Birthplace of Biggie Smalls, Jay Z, and Big Daddy Kane, Brooklyn isn't generally associated with the new-age of emerging sounds of Minimal Hip Hop mixed with Alternative R&B. Against all odds, the 22-year-old singer/ songwriter/ rapper, G Milano is surfacing from the avenues of New York City with his fresh brand of contemporary soul that musically blends the urgency of popular music with the smoother, soulful sound of R&B. Reared on the slow jams of 112, R Kelly, Usher, and Chris Brown, Milano realized his talent as a teen, serenading his female classmates and eventually creating his first recordings at his makeshift studio.
