The Nashville tornadoes dominated the news this week. As the city and surrounding communities rebuild, the NWS Storm Survey teams have been out and early reports of EF-3's and an EF-4 twister are grabbing the headlines. The EF-3 that went through downtown Nashville was on the ground for 60 miles. The EF-4 was on the ground for 8 miles. Bonnie made an appearance on The Storm Front Freak Podcast and we continue into March with National Weather Podcast Month.

Flooding is still effecting parts of the south while thunderstorms are forecasted over the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma today.

On this mid week edition of B Squared, Bonnie is watching old storm coverage on YouTube. Bobby talks about the growth of technology since May 3rd, 1999 and how far its come since then. The flooding in the South doesn't look like it will let up any time soon.

Snow and storms were the big story this week across the country. The plains got hit with snow mid week and severe storms followed across the south. A rare tornado outbreak took place in Maryland and Virginia. Severe flooding was a big story in Washington and Oregon.

On this week's edition, we talk a little Big Game in Miami and how the winter is quiet. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today which means spring is right around the corner. Fun fact...NOAA says Phil is correct about 40% of the time. Here at B Squared, we're correct 100% of the time.

On this episode of B Squared, we reflect back on the life of Kobe Bryant and how weather is likely to have played a key in the crash that claimed his life along with his daughter and seven other people aboard. We look at the winter season so far. While March is just a month away, we are getting ready for National Weather Podcast Month.

We take a look back the severe weather outbreak and compare the reports to the overlay that SPC sent out. We issue a "Falling Iguana Watch" for Florida as temperatures have fallen into the 30s. Yes the iguanas will fall out of tree when the cold weather effectively puts them to sleep. They do survive and return to normal when the temperature raises.

The first big severe weather event of the year happened Friday and Saturday. Several tornadoes and a lots of wind caused damage from the plains through the southern US. Sadly, several fatalities were reported from damage sustained by tornadoes and wind. Following the severe weather, cold air swept through the same areas bringing snow and ice. Out in the Pacific NW, the model riding has gotten to Bobby. They're patiently awaiting snow.
