We're back! This week, Katie and Chris watch...well, basically just softcore porn. We're doing a blind commentary to the 2001 direct to video b-movie, Battle Queen 2020. It stars Julie Strain, Julie Strain's breasts, a murder of Canadians, and (weirdly) a few child actors for some reason. Watch along with us! This Skinemax fiasco is clearly NSFW, but as you're probably working from home- fuck it!
This one's on Amazon...boy is it ever.

Have you ever...fuck it, this movie is great. Watch it, then listen. Seriously, why aren't you watching it yet? RANDY EFFING QUAID is in this?! He's brilliant in it. It's directed by Bob Balaban, who played Ilana Glazer's dad on Broad City...what more do you need? Ok, fine, there's an Academy Award winning actor- Sandy Dennis - and a brilliant performance from Mary Beth Hurt. Need more? STILL? Gratuitous close ups of meat? Too far? Watch it anyway. If you don't you'll be sorry! I mean, JUST WAIT TIL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME!!!
This one's on Amazon, Tubi, and other places you can find it. It's worth it.

A small child walks alone through a video rental store in the early to mid 1990's. Passing the bright orange cassettes of Nickelodeon and the puffy clam shells full of Disney princesses they venture into forbidden territory. It is the stuff of nightmares, the stale cardboard stained with images of blood and gore. They've reached the horror section and some things you can't un-see. Katie and Chris countdown their TOP 5 VHS covers that scared the shit out of them as kids. Join us as we dive into more kinder-trauma and follow along on our instagram @btrothedpod!

Remember when you were a kid and you built over engineered traps for monsters that lived under you bed until that one time you caught one and mercilessly tortured it to the verge of death before befriending it and going to your bully's house to pee in his apple juice? So grab your flashlight cannons, make yourself a peanut butter and onion sandwich, and strap on your over the shoulder boulder holder because you're going to experience this fucked up kids movie right along with us!

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, we bring you this week's mini episode about a seminal piece of kinder trauma. The first (of many I'm sure) B-Bites on an episode of the 90's Nickelodeon (or YTV, if ya nasty) classic, Are You Afraid of the Dark?. This one features some of the most iconic Nosferatu imagery most people in their 30's remember, classic Canadian community theater acting, and the inimitable Dr. Vink!
Join us, if you dare.
The Tale of the Midnight Madness is on amazon legally and many other places illegally but we would never tell you to look it up on YouTube.

At a time when women were women, men aged prematurely, and the moon was inhabited by a race of underground alien women who all look like Debi Mazar, there was Cat-Women of The Moon! Katie and Chris take you to a far off place where all the women dress in cat suits and live in a society bereft of the feeble yet fertile partiarchy. Can they seduce their way back to earth and breed? Will the leading men put aside their romantic pissing contest in order to save human kind? Will there be MOON SPIDERS?! These questions and so much...other questions...will be answered?

What happens when a feminist writer/activist writes a parody of slasher movies in which a deranged male killer stalks and hunts down young women only to penetrate them with his comically large drill bit/penis analogue? Then, THAT movie gets changed into a serious horror film without regard for altering the heavy handed symbolism that would otherwise be played ironically? (We know, it's a question that has plagued generations.) The answer is, The Slumber Party Massacre...also it's subsequent sequels and spin offs. Katie and Chris are here to guide you through it and explain to you all the symbolism that you probably didn't need to have explained because you're not a 10 year old.
