A Huge Weekend for the B1G for more reasons than one. The first CFP rankings were released and has Ethan and Alex asking some questions. Penn State and Ohio State play one of the most exciting games of the weekend, and in case you haven't heard, there was a brawl in the Michigan-MSU Game. The fellas discuss the aftermath of suspensions, takeaways and make picks for a 7 game slate. Oh, and all hail the magic coin.
What a week it was for the B1G! A Sickos Committee 7-Way Tiebreaker keeps just about EVERYONE in the West Division Race, Brian Ferentz doesn't know what to do with a Football, and Purdue lets Corey down... again. Alex and Corey kick off the start of the show followed by a late appearance from Ethan (which disrupts our audio quality again, sorry!) where the trio really dive into all aspects of the Iowa-OSU game. Picks have a pleasant surprise at the end that you don't want to miss!
If you weren't on board for the College Football Playoff Expansion, a weekend like this will make you change your mind. The fellas (minus Corey this week) talk about the crazy weekend of College Football that could reveal that teams are much closer than you think. For the BIG side of things, James Franklin is as soft as Charmin, and Illinois and Purdue offer very different styles of football as your favorites for the West division crown.
Midterm grades are here! Who's the best? Who's the worst? Who's doing drugs and who doesn't know how to read? The fellas rank our B1G Schools to see how the conference matches up with each other halfway through the season. Also, some news of coordinator changes (no not Brian Ferentz) shake the up the secondary coaching landscape. Recaps of this week's games set up for a huge weekend for the conference as well as a huge opportunity for Corey to jump Alex in our ATS Picks.
(Disclaimer: Technically difficulties gave us a less than desirable audio experience this week. We have fired our tech guy (Corey) and we will sound much better in next week's episode)
Ethan is back on the pod this week and isn't messing around. He's just saying what we're all thinking; what on earth is wrong with the B1G West? Maybe the biggest shocker of the year is Wisconsin firing Paul Cryst, is it the right move for the program?Impressive wins from Ohio State and Michigan further separate them from the rest of the field, but someones got to win the West, right? The fellas end with their picks for the week ahead, but will Corey ever get out of the basement?
Could there be no UCLA in the B1G after all? With Ethan sick, Alex and Corey discuss the concerns of the Pac-12 Commissioner as it regards the departure of UCLA. The fellas also break down the week that was for the conference where Michigan struggled, OSU shined, and Iowa wins the Punt-Off. Corey has some ground to make up in this week's picks after Alex's stellar week against the spread.
This week for the B1G showed the guys what many of these teams are really about. A statement win from Penn State, a flawless non-conference schedule from Minnesota, and an eye-opening loss from Michigan State reveals the true contenders for Ohio State and Michigan as B1G play is just around the corner. The fellas play teacher and hand out first quarter grades, as well as dissect an abysmal week of picks for two of our hosts (we'll let you guess who they are).
It was a wild week in the B1G West as several upsets, surprising wins, and a few teams righting the ship will make for a mediocre (yet entertaining) race for for the West Division Crown. The Fellas discuss the impact of the Scott Frost Firing as well as a few points to take away from the East heavyweights in OSU, Michigan, PSU, and MSU. We pick this week's matchups and hopefully Alex can avoid embarrassing himself this week.
The week was wild for more reasons than one for the fellas. With rumblings of another PAC-12 team in the mix, and the news of new NIL rules and CFP expansion, the fellas discuss the impact on the B1G landscape. Game recaps include how to not score a touchdown ft. Iowa, how to not win a football game ft. Purdue, and how to not handle a QB battle ft. Cade McNamara. Oh, and the guys are picking against the spread now.
The Fellas breakdown an exciting Week 0 for the B1G and what on Earth Nebraska Football should do with Scott Frost. Listen in for the guys Week 1 predictions for the rest of the B1G, their thoughts on Michigan's in-season QB Tryout, and if the Road to Pasadena runs through West Lafayette.
