记得小时候学的第一首歌曲是“世上只有妈妈好”，作为一个80后，出生的那个年代正赶上这首歌曲红遍大江南北，歌词和曲调也很恰当的表达出了孩子对妈妈的爱。因为疫情，不能及时回国看望父母，加之时间和距离的阻隔，维护好和家人的亲密关系就显得更重要，更为迫切了。但人与人相处又不是一帆风顺的，所以这次我们来聊一聊和父母的亲密关系，以及作为父母，如何处理与自己孩子的关系。

I remember the first song I learned as a child was "Only Mom is Good in the World". As an 80s child, I was born in the era when this song was popular all across the country, and the lyrics and tune also appropriately expressed the love of children for their mothers. Because of the epidemic situation, I haven’t been able to go home to see my parents for quite a while, and because of the time and distance, it became more important and urgent to maintain a close relationship with my family. Getting along with our loved ones isn’t always easy, so this time we will talk about how we deal with intimate relationships with parents and how to handle this relationship with our own children as parents.

焦虑在心理学上意指由于情绪或心理上产生内在冲突，进而引发非理性的忧虑或恐惧感受。焦虑可能在特定情况下产生；也有可能是惯性或是常见与普遍的一种感受。

这次，我们从三个方面谈论了我们目前的焦虑困境：有已婚子女家庭对孩子成长教育，单身对养老，生活方面的担忧，也有从旁人的境遇，而引发对自己将来职业发展的忧虑，还有因为自身所处的社会环境而带出的一些见闻和思考。

我们这里所指的焦虑只是普通意义上的担忧，跟心理学上的焦虑含义相差甚远，希望大家有个积极乐观的处事态度。

In psychology, anxiety refers to an internal emotional or psychological conflict that leads to irrational feelings of worry or fear. Anxiety can arise in specific situations; it can also be chronic or a common and widespread feeling.

In this episode, we talk about our current anxiety issues from three points of view: married families with children about their growth and education, single people about their life and retirement plans, some others in our friends circles which often orbits around our future career development, as well as some insights brought by our own social environment.

The anxiety we are referring to here is only a general sense of worry, far from the meaning of anxiety in psychology.

有一档英语播客，是来自Sam Harris的Making Sense。在最近一期和两位嘉宾讨论了食物，气候和流行病的风险，其中让我印象最深刻的是一句来自嘉宾的话“要生成我们所吃的鸡的一卡路里热量，需要喂养提供9卡路里热量的植物饲料，而猪肉和牛肉需要的更多，从动物身上摄入热量相较直接从植物摄入热量效率低下，因为要从动物身上产生同样的热量，需要提供多倍的植物饲料喂养，造成这样的结果是需要更多的土地和水，以及化肥。饲养动物所带来的环境问题更是多方面的，而近几年的肉类消费大幅度提高，使解决相关问题迫在眉睫。在这一期的播客里，Sam Harris和嘉宾都提倡多食用素食，减少肉制品的消耗。在前两期的节目里，我也对为什么要制造肉味的素食提出了质疑，现在看来，这也是我一时的偏见，希望以后有更多的机会对自己的观点提出质疑，进而修正自己的想法。

环保话题一直热度不减，这不仅仅是一时引起骚动的热门新闻，更因为它跟我们每个人的生活息息相关，这次我联系到了我的一个高中同学，从一个普通人的角度谈谈她是如何开始关注环保，而后改变自己生活习惯的过程。

In a recent episode of Sam Harris’ Making Sense podcast, with two guests discussing food, climate and epidemic risk, one of the things that stood out to me was this quote: "To generate one calorie from the chicken we eat, we need to feed a plant-based diet that provides 9 calories. Pork and beef require more, and calorie intake from animals is less efficient than direct calorie intake from plants, because to generate the same amount of calories from animals, you need to feed infinitely more plants, resulting in more land and water, fertilizer usage.” The environmental problems associated with animal raising are even more multifaceted, and the dramatic increase in meat consumption in recent years has made it urgent to address related issues. In this episode of his podcast, both Sam Harris and his guests advocate for a more vegetarian-based nutrition. In the previous two episodes, I also questioned why meat-flavored vegetarian food should be created, which now seems to be a momentary bias on my part, and I hope to have more opportunities to question my views and thus adjust my thoughts in the future.

The topic of environmental protection has always been a hot topic, not only because of all the controversy around it, but also because it is closely related to everyone's life. This time I contacted one of my high school classmates to talk about how she became concerned about environmental preservation and then changed her entire life habits.

The popular and much advocated breakaway is something that very few people can do, so the cycle of buying, collecting, sorting and throwing is as necessary as the three meals of a day.
