¿Te preocupa la salud bucal de tus hijos? La Dra. Anneliisse Pérez, odontóloga ortodoncista y especialista en ortopedia, nos comparte los 10 malos hábitos orales que podrían estar enfermando a tus hijos:
1. Chupar el pulgar: Puede causar problemas de alineación dental y deformaciones en el paladar.
2. Uso prolongado del chupete: Similar al pulgar, puede afectar la mordida y el desarrollo bucal.
3. Morder objetos: Como lápices o juguetes, puede dañar los dientes y encías.
4. Respiración bucal: Puede provocar sequedad, mal aliento y problemas de desarrollo facial.
5. Consumo excesivo de azúcares: Aumenta el riesgo de caries y problemas dentales.
6. No cepillarse adecuadamente: Contribuye a la acumulación de placa y problemas de encías.
7. Masticar solo de un lado: Puede causar desequilibrios en la mordida y músculos faciales.
8. Usar los dientes como herramientas: Para abrir objetos, puede provocar fracturas dentales.
9. Beber del biberón antes de dormir: Sin cepillarse, aumenta el riesgo de caries nocturnas.
10. No visitar al odontólogo regularmente: La falta de chequeos puede retrasar el tratamiento de problemas bucales.
