Back Chat Show

Once more Mark and Jason pretend like they're going to discuss the Switchbacks most recent match, another disappointing and to all intents and purposes season-ending defeat, this time at the hands of the highly impressive Swope Park Rangers, but instead go off on a pseudo-season analysis once more! This is like Ross and Rachel all over again! Will they, won't they?

(spoiler: yes, they will. Look for an extended show analyzing the entire season in excruciating in a couple of weeks)

Mark and Jason try to talk about the Switchbacks tie with Seattle. They, like the Switchbacks, were moderately successful, but didn't quite get the result they were hoping for. Extra long episode, as our rants are extra long.

'Hey now, heeeey now, don't dream it's oooover...', but is it? Does the Switchbacks latest home defeat spell the realistic end of their play-off hopes? And how the heck did they lose to Phoenix anyway? And where does Star Wars come in to all this?! Your Back Chat guys discuss...

Mark, called up Jason from parts unknown to chat about the Switchbacks tie with Sacramento. Was it a happy tie? Probably. Maybe.

The Switchbacks actually acquitted themselves pretty well against an LA Galaxy 2 team featuring a number of players with suspiciously few USL minutes this season. Ringers, you say? Hey, you said it, not us! Despite another solid Switchbacks performance, the game ended in a home defeat, leaving the teams play-off hopes in the balance. So what happened? The Back Chat boys discuss...

Back Chat spends some 'Extra Time' visiting with another of the Switchbacks new players this season, utility man Conner Bevans. Despite his versatility, Conner reveals the position on the field where he has most fun, as well sharing his 'artistic' side, and why he's driven to be a pro football player, and where he's hoping that dream will ultimately take him...

The Back Chat boys rattle through the last two Switchbacks games; the road-trip that took them through Orange County, CA, earlier in the week, and Sandy, Utah, last night. All told, this wasn't a bad roadie, with an unexpected 3 points in the Golden State, and hard fought albeit disappointing defeat at our Rocky Mountain neighbors.

How many words are there in the English language? I think we might have used all of them to describe the frustrating pattern of inconsistency we continue to see from our Switchbacks, this time versus the 'auld enemy', OKC Energy.

Guest analyst Paul Wray tries to help us find new and creative ways to frame our disappointment and hope that next game will be the one to spark our season, because we're fast running out of them...

The Switchbacks have never lost to Phoenix. Did I jinx that? I totally jinxed it.

After falling behind by 2 goals, the Switchbacks stormed back to level the game at 2-2 against Vancouver Whitecaps 2. So what does it all mean? We try to make sense of it all.
