Dr. Webber has 14 years of public service, elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly four times for the constituency of Calgary Bow. In September 1997, Dr. Webber opened the doors to Webber Academy, a private non-profit, non-denominational, co-educational, university preparatory school for students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school has grown from 82 students and 14 staff in its inaugural year to bursting at the seams this school year with 1020 students and 140 employees.

Katherine’s experiences include inpatient, outpatient, and community-based care for adults and young adults, working as an Occupational Therapist, and then in management and leadership positions. Most recently, Katherine joined Kickstand, Alberta’s Integrated Youth Services Initiative, and has been leading the implementation of a provincial strategy to create recognizable, effective and easily accessible spaces, co-created with young people for young people, where a wide range of customized services and programs are available for a young person (aged 11-25 years old) and their family to find the help they need. There are currently Kickstand Centres in 8 Alberta communities and an online service called Kickstand Connect. Imagine if everyone knew where to go to get the support they need!
