London based DJ & Producer Ceri Stokes has spent a good few

years in the UK club scene. Originally an MC in the 90’s on

influential pirate radio station Don FM, Ceri was heavily into the

UK Jungle scene, but started developing a passion for the Techno

being played on Kiss Fm at the time by such DJ’s as Colin Favor

& Colin Dale. In his own words; “actually It was Colin Dale’s

Abstrakt Dance show that really changed the music I listened to and

made me want to create the same kind of music that I was hearing on

their shows.”

Our very good friend and Brighton based DJ Tim Rivers has a long, long musical heritage that can be traced back to early acid house.

Author of the much loved but now defunct Acid House Blog, nowadays he co-hosts the monthly Kinfolk show with Easy Jim and Soft Rocks on 1 Brighton FM & his own Kinfolk party nights that we have been running over the last few years in Brighton town. If he is not playing records, he's playing instruments & his sporadic music productions of leftfield dance music under the alias of Kalidasa, over the last few years has spawned some dark disco sounds that has garnered support from the likes of Ivan Smagghe, Mugwump, Andrew Weatherall, Sean Johnson to name a few.

Episode 26 comes from Saul Wilks, one quarter of Boogie Cartel.

Born out of the coming together of four like minded friends: Gary Lewis, Tom Armstrong, Saul Wilks and Shaun Dangerfield aka NightMoves, the Boogie Cartel ethos is simple: a ridiculously tasty music policy, ace people, and a love for the party.

Their unique mix of sounds has seen the collective play everywhere from the infamous NYC Downlow at Glastonbury to venues across Europe, and their debut EP release on Trip City records was met with high praise.

Thanks to the guys for giving me the opportunity to contribute to the excellent Back To The Beach podcast series, I’ve listened to them all and Wow! Tough acts to follow, I feel privileged to be among them all.
Producing a show every week, as I do with Area 32, I automatically thought digitally, then changed tack, and in keeping with the Balearic theme, I thought I’d contribute live on vinyl.
Having lived and worked in Ibiza for many years I know that feeling of healing after the club, laying on the beach with headphones on, so this is my interpretation of the Back To The Beach theme and the music I would want washing over me, laying on the beach the day after on our beautiful Island. I hope you agree and I hope you like it. Thank you.

Matsur Veabab (Rustam Babeav) brings us a delightful mix for episode 22. 
Originally from Odessa, Rustam is a serious vinyl collector, with one of the largest collections in Ukraine. His eclectic musical style and profound knowledge of international club culture, we're sure you're going to love this mix. 
From an early age, when his mother rented a record player and bought him his first new wave records, through his discovery of electronica, jazz and psychedelia, Matsur has always loved music. 
From putting on nights with like-minded peers in the 90's, to guesting at various venues in the early 2000's, to having his own radio show, music is ever present.
Now residing on the coast of Ukraine, he plays less frequently, but has found a new favourite venue on the shore.
"Time to time I bring a box of records there and try to take the road less traveled, to play something new."
