community leader. A successful Latina woman working in two male‐dominated
industries, IT and engineering. In order to be accepted, each morning Pat put on
her two‐piece skirt suit with pumps; making decisions from her analytical side and
forfeiting her strong sense of intuition.
Then, after a 35‐year career, Pat “woke up”, began her own journey of elation and
donated 100% of her corporate “uniforms” to The Ladder Alliance and now
chooses to live an empowered life.

Anti-Bullying Specialist & BollyX (Fitness, Exercise)

As Founder and President of Action Against Bullying, LLC and most recently Ltd in the UK, an organization specialized in training teachers and guidance counselors, providing support to parents, young people and the community, what makes Action Against Bullying more unique from other organizations is the specialized academic and practical knowledge from examining bullying, not only from an educational psychological perspective, but also from the socio-economic angle. It thus allows for a broader pro-active bullying, including racism and racist bullying prevention training curriculum in schools, for educators and for the community. Additionally, AAB is DASA certified (Dignity For All Students Act) and officially a contract vendor for all NYC public schools and work has been conducted at schools in New York as well as in New Jersey.

2. ‘Feedback is criticism' vs 'feedback is an opportunity for me to learn about where I can improve’
3. ‘What’s the point in trying if I’m going to fail’ vs ‘It’s always good to try, failure is a learning curve’
4. ‘Why learn new things, there will always be someone who is better at it than me’ vs ‘It is always good to expand my skills repertoire’
5. ‘There is no more room for promotion, I might as well stick where I am’ vs ‘I know I can develop further, how do I do this to take my career to the next step’
6. ‘I can no longer improve in this area; people should expect no more of me here’ vs ‘There is always room for improvement’
7. ‘I am intimidated by the success of others’ vs ‘Looking at others succeed makes me think that I too can succeed’
8. ‘I struggle with this area, I cannot help anymore’ vs ‘this isn’t my area of expertise, but I can always help, and I can always improve’
