Democrat Doug Jones vs. Republican Judge Roy Moore...a special election that could have national implications How does this change the dynamics in the Senate? Does a Moore Election put the GOP in a bad spot for 2018?  We have up to the minute coverage and analysis today.  With the #metoo movement in full effect...The President has now re-emerged as a target of accusations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior.  Is this old news that has already been heard in the court of the electorate or is this a subject that puts the Trump administration at risk?  As the GOP Tax Bill goes to conference for reconciliation, the Treasury Department puts out a supporting document (one page...yup...only one page) that tries to explain how adding $1 TRILLION to the national deficit is good for the economy.  Has the GOP overestimated the support for what some are calling "the worst tax bill in history".   All of this and more, this week on the BEST POLITICAL SHOW YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF... Former National Security Advisor Micheal Flynn makes a plea deal with the Special Counsel's Office and Department of Justice,,, and makes a statement about how he is cooperating with Mueller's office.  The President also sends out a tweet that could possibly incriminate him on Obstruction of Justice charges...the question is... did he do damage to himself with the Tweet and can the President be tried for Obstruction?  The GOP FINALLY gets a piece of legislation through...however... it is a Tax Bill that no one (literally NO ONE) likes... how can Congress convince the American electorate that this is good for the middle class? Just over one month after the tragic events in Las Vegas, the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, our country now mourns with the victims of the mass shooting in a Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, TX.  26 killed...including children and elderly... over 20 injured.  We will discuss the latest.  Is this a gun control issue?  Is this a mental health issue?  How could this individual get access to a firearm...let alone...an assault rifle?  Is it now time to discuss sensible gun control or will America (and Congress) fall to their knees at the behest of the National Rifle Association?  ALSO, it's election day in America...eyes fall on the Gubenortorial races in VIrginia and New Jersey....is this election a referendum on Trump (well aren't they ALL for that matter)?  We will also look at other key races...and with POTUS in the Far East, what can we expect of Trump's meeting with the Chineese, Koreans, and other Pan Pacific leaders during his first Asian trip?  All of this ... on the BEST POLITICAL TALK SHOW YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF...BACKROOM POLITICS!

The Special Counsel, Robert Mueller has handed down his first series of indictments...  former TRUMP Campaign executive Paul Manafort and his business associate, Rick Gates, have been arrested on charges ranging from money laundering to conspiracy against the United States.  Both have pled not guilty.  However, the BIGGER NEWS is the earlier indictment of former TRUMP campaign aide George Pappadopolous... who has pled guilty to federal charges in a sealed indictment.  How big of a risk is this to the White House?  How big of a risk Pappadopolous to the Trump Administration?  Does he pardon Manafort and Gates to save his administration?  ALSO... media is split right down the middle along divided lines... Murdoch, Fox and other conservative media outlets calling the indictments a "political witch hunt"... liberal media calling for impeachment proceedings... will the Special Counsel cause further divide an already divided nation?  All of this and more...THIS WEEK ON BACKROOM POLITICS!!!

THIS WEEK ON BACKROOM POLITICS...POTUS has lunch with the Senate Majority Leader...and brings Good Ole Mitch Out the Rose Garden for an Ole Fashion Love Fest...except earlier he was ready to cut off the oxygen to Sen. McConnel with his buddy Steve Bannon.  Are they in fact close...is there a good working relationship between the White House and Congress that we do not see?  We will discuss.  Speaking of Steve Bannon, could we, in fact, see Republican on Republican political violence leading up to the 2018 mid-terms?  How real are Steve Bannon's threats?  Should they be taken seriously? Have Senators Lemar Alexander (R-TN) and Patty Murray (D-WA) found a pathway for bi-partisan support for healthcare?  Did we see compromise?  Is it possible?  Are We Dreaming?  Finally, the U.S. finds itself between a rock and a hard spot internationally as Iraqi Federal Troops invade the city of Kirkuk in the newly independent Kurdistan, pitting ally against ally and the State Department trying to figure out how to keep this from escalating...all of this and more...
