Even backsliders, McNutt argues from his own Marine Corps wandering, cannot finally settle into the world; godly repentance always returns. He closes with Revelation 3:19–20 and 1 John 1:9, urging hearers to confess sin, restore fellowship, and rest in Christ's righteousness rather than their own.

God was so gracious to save Jonah from drowning. The great fish was Jonah's deliverance. He didn't repent until he was right at death's door. Don't let it get that far with God.
