Backstage

You got me asking God about you

it's time for my poems to learn of me

I don't mind a nervous love

If words were magic

I wanna fall . . . slow

when I say I love you . . . I mean

Love me like you've been hurt

if you catch me staring, I am making a metaphor worthy of you

where do i go when you feel like home

I think I felt God smile the first time I brought your name to prayer
