The NL West has become an arms race between the Dodgers and Padres and both Matt and Dom agree it is time for the Giants, Diamondbacks and Rockies to blow it up. With the AL West, Dom is digging the A's this season, whereas Matt is putting a ton of blind faith into Angels for well...even he can't totally explain. Finally, Matt and Dom give their picks for the division winners, World Series winner, CY Young award, Rookie of the Year award, and MVP.

The NL Central has a mixed bag of teams with the only sure bet in the division is that the Pirates are gonna stink! With the AL Central, Dom raves about his Royals and his points are fairly warranted this season, but they will not be nearly as good as the division favorite Chicago White Sox.

The owners and MLBPA have come to an agreement brought down by the commissioner's office. Matt and Dom break down some of the key components of the deal that will hopefully show baseball in 2020. The boys discuss their concerns on the proposed plan and share their tempered excitement for baseball amidst a pandemic. They also highlight the post MLB Draft process and the UDFA signing period. Luckily for the guys, the Phillies and the Royals have made out pretty nicely with their signings.

The Boys break down the a number of team's selections with analysis of the top 3 drafts for each person as well as their least favorite class and personal team's picks. The comprehensive breakdown on the draft class and the early curveballs in round one of the draft were discussed.

Matt and Dom talk with Dan about his new film which follows the Omaha Storm Chasers as they lead into their 50th season of affiliated baseball. The film not only covers the history of baseball in Omaha but ties together the history of minor league baseball and how it has changed over the years. The Backyard Boys were so happy to have Dan on the pod as they talked the film, the growing concerns about Minor League Baseball cuts, as well as just fond baseball memories.
