Bad Ass B!tch-Cast (Plus Spencer)

Well, happy spooky season to one and all. Though it is the second full week of October, this is our first of three horror films for the month. Dawn of the Dead is a remake of the 1978 (not a part of the 60's amazingly enough) film of the same name originally directed by George A. Romero. It stars Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, and Mekhi Phifer, among others. And, it being a zombie movie, not many of them make it.

Also, please go check out Maggie Mae Fish on You Tube and all of her videos, but especially the one titled "We're Already Ded" (not a typo) which is about this and other Zack Snyder films. I really enjoy her stuff and she does a much better job at really diving into the themes of Snyder's work.

I tell you what, we go off on a real off-topic tangent in this one. Anyway, Robin Hood: Men In Tights stars... a bunch of people, but Cary Elwes is Robin Hood and Amy Yasbeck is Maid Marian, and I you can look up the rest if you want.

As always, thank you so very much to Grumpy Plum for letting us use their song Kia Soul off the album Don't Yell At Me!

This is Wargames, starring Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy. This is our new release day, too. (being Monday) It just works better for our schedules. In this episode, other than the title topic, we discuss New Girl (spoilers), chess kids, and college parties. Hope you enjoy!

Don't forget to go listen to Kia Soul by Grumpy Plum and the rest of their album Don't Yell At Me! I have it on my playlist for work.

Thanks for listening.

The Fifth Element is one of my favorite movies, ever, with stars Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich. This week we discus my apparent predisposition for films that begin in Egypt and then jump to some time in the future, as well as Bikini Baristas. So, Enjoy that! Special guest appearance by "Shelby."

Such a Good Flick (duh). What's Eating Gilbert Grape is from 1993 and stars Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Juliette Lewis.

Thank you, once again, Grumpy Plum for letting us use the song Kia Soul off the album Don't Yell At Me! (stream it on Spotify. Buy it, too. Then buy another couple of copies)

Perhaps this one got on the list for nostalgic reasons, but a Good Flick none-the-less. Simply Irresistible is from 1999 and stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sean Patrick Flanery.

Oh no! Is Spencer a liar and a buffoon? In order, no and I certainly hope not. However, you may notice that this is not the promised episode from last week, but that is explained in the podcast. So sorry. This week, we are watching Stargate from 1994, starring Kurt Russell and James Spader. As for the technical issues, c'mon. It's the fourth episode and there are still a few bugs.

As always, thank you very much to Tallulah and Grumpy Plum for their song Kia Soul off the album Don't Yell At Me! (I hear they have finished recording a new EP) And, of course, thank you to everyone listening.

This week Taitumn and Spencer are watching Delirious from 1991, starring John Candy and Mariel Hemingway.

Of course, thanks to Grumpy Plum for letting us use their song Kia Soul off the album Don't Yell At Me!
