In this episode, we take a look at how the game of tennis changed how I look at revision. For me, Revision is the art and science of practising what you know. For most students revision is commonly thought of completing repetitive actions of reviewing and understanding the same information. The difference, however, is if you have never grasped the understanding of how to process and action that information how can you truly improve from repetition?

In this episode, we take a look at the potential risk of slipping back into the cycle of doom. Where you have reached the cycle of intelligence the best place to be! But suddenly if there was a negative reaction to a subject that was previously removed the slip begins back to the cycle of doom. To start to understand this we look at how emotion directly affects intellect which creates the trigger of overwhelm that we discussed in episode 006. This trigger bringing back all of the negative feelings that come from slipping into the cycle of doom.

In this part 1 episode of understanding and overcoming mental health mini-series we lay the foundation of how we can identify the challenges that children are facing in school. This episode will help you to understand more about this topic from how it occurs and where it manifests from. We will do this by discussing the "Cycle of Doom" our proven system to understanding and identifying where issues arise which may be where the issue reaches a point of hurting oneself or hurting others. This is something very real that we need to stand up against and this episode is step 1 to doing that.

Why Bad at School? Well, our founder Tej spent the majority of his time being Bad At School, and for the last 9 years, Tej and the team have coached over 10,000 pupils to becoming Great at School!
This series has seven episodes in total with tackling everything from revision, mental health, dealing with difficulties in school to coaching rituals from Tej' pro tennis days, all delivered to you via your headphones or speakers. The first four episodes have a focus on mental health. Episodes are all aimed at helping you become great at school!
