  • Widowed, NOT DEAD… Dating After Your Spouse Dies πŸ’€πŸ’‹

Apparently, losing your husband doesn't mean you lose your sex drive, your sense of humour, or your ability to make spectacularly questionable dating decisions. πŸ’‹

Welcome to Episode 4 of Bad Girls Guide to Being a Widow, where we're diving headfirst into the absolute shitshow that is dating after widowhood.

We're talking Tinder, emotional support fish, awkward conversations, guilt, red flags, and the bizarre experience of trying to date when your relationship status is basically "it's complicated… and he's dead."

When is it too soon? Why does everyone have an opinion? And why the actual fuck is the dating pool looking more like a contaminated pond?

This episode is about wanting companionship without replacing someone, laughing at the ridiculousness of modern dating, and realizing that being a widow doesn't mean you're sentenced to a lifetime of loneliness.

Because here's the thing: I'm widowed. NOT DEAD.

Grab your coffee, your wine, or whatever questionable coping mechanism you're currently enjoying. We're going dating, bitches. πŸ‘‘πŸ’—

Disclaimer: Dark humour, adult language, inappropriate jokes, and absolutely zero guarantees of emotionally available men.

  • Grief Made Me a Little Fucking Crazy
Grief Made Me a Little Fucking Crazy

Nobody warns you that grief doesn't just break your heart. Sometimes it makes you lose your entire fucking mind.

Welcome back to Bad Girls Guide to Being a Widow, where we cope with trauma using questionable humour, inappropriate language, and the occasional emotional breakdown disguised as a personality trait.

In this episode, we're talking about the absolutely unhinged shit grief can make you do. The irrational anger, the emotional outbursts, the questionable decisions, and those moments when you look back and think, "Who the actual fuck let me out in public?"

Because apparently losing the love of your life wasn't enough. Now you've also got to navigate the world with a nervous system running on trauma, caffeine, and absolutely zero patience for other people's bullshit.

We're talking about the messy, embarrassing, sometimes hilarious side of grief that nobody puts in sympathy cards.

And here's the thing: you can be healing and still be a little fucking crazy. You can laugh at your worst moments without minimizing what you've survived.

    In this episode:

    • The unhinged things grief makes us do

    • Why anger sometimes becomes our entire personality

    • Emotional breakdowns, questionable decisions, and public meltdowns

    • Learning to forgive yourself for the version of you that was just trying to survive

    • Finding humour in the absolute shitshow without feeling guilty about it

So grab your coffee, energy drink, or whatever questionable coping mechanism is getting you through today.

Because grief isn't always graceful, healing isn't always pretty, and sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh at the absolute disaster you've become along the way.

You're not alone. You're just part of a club nobody wanted to join.

Stay bad, stay healing, and for the love of God, don't judge your grief-era decisions too harshly. πŸ–€πŸ‘‘

Shit People Say to Widows (And Why I Deserve a Medal for Not Punching Anyone)

Apparently, when your husband dies, people also lose their ability to think before they speak.

Welcome to Episode 2 of Bad Girls Guide to Being a Widow, where we're talking about the absolutely ridiculous, uncomfortable, and sometimes downright offensive shit people say to widows.

From unsolicited advice and awkward condolences to the classic "everything happens for a reason" (does it, Susan? DOES IT?), we're unpacking the comments that make you wonder how you've managed to stay out of prison.

Because here's the thing: most people mean well. But good intentions don't always make stupid comments hurt less.

In this episode, we're talking about grief, boundaries, the pressure to make other people comfortable with your loss, and why you don't owe anyone a polite response when your entire world has fallen apart.

Expect dark humour, a few F-bombs, some uncomfortable truths, and a reminder that you're allowed to grieve without making it pretty for everyone else.

Because surviving widowhood is hard enough without having to politely thank someone for saying something completely fucking ridiculous.

Welcome to the Bad Girls Club, where we laugh at the inappropriate, say the quiet parts out loud, and somehow keep showing up.

Bad Girls Guide to Being a Widow

Apparently, the universe looked at my life and thought, "You know what this bitch needs? A sequel."

Welcome to the very first episode of Bad Girls Guide to Being a Widow β€” the podcast nobody wants to qualify for, but here we fucking are.

I'm Christine. I've been widowed twice, both before turning 40. My first husband, Martin, was murdered when I was just 23. Years later, I lost my second husband, Jay, to suicide.

And somehow, through the heartbreak, trauma, questionable decisions, and a truly impressive amount of dark humour, I'm still standing. Usually with a coffee, occasionally with a designer handbag, and sometimes with absolutely no idea what the fuck I'm doing.

In this episode, I'm sharing my story β€” the love, the losses, the people who showed up, the people who disappeared, and the completely unhinged moments nobody prepares you for when your entire world falls apart.

We're talking about grief, survival, guilt, finding yourself again, and why healing doesn't always look like inspirational quotes and peaceful walks through the forest.

Because sometimes healing looks like therapy.

    Sometimes it looks like Botox.

And sometimes it looks like telling the universe to kindly fuck all the way off.

I'll also share a little something you can try on your own healing journey, because this podcast isn't just about surviving the worst things life throws at us. It's about figuring out how to actually live again.

Real Talk. Real Healing. Real Bad Girls. πŸ‘‘

Content note: This episode discusses murder, suicide, traumatic loss, grief, and mental health. Strong language and dark humour throughout.
