This week, we take a listener question from a new Scrum Master who struggles with public speaking.

Ultimately, public speaking is something that has a good deal of fear associated with it, and the usual suggestions for dealing with it have something to do with imagining the fear isn’t there, or overcoming it through exposure.

But there’s something more.

Time to fall back to the Badass Agile Principles – Get Visionary, Get Focused, Get Humble and Flexible, and Get Gritty.

Most important is the first one – if your reason for doing something is strong enough, and centred in your vision and purpose, you will have a much easier time managing and wrestling the fear.
