So today I want to talk to you about making the decision to follow through as well and relate it to how I am going to format these choose your path podcast episodes since they seem to relate.

A long time ago probably around 2012-2013 I decided I wanted to do something to put knowledge out there in the cyberspace area and I was trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go.  

Blog, YouTube, Podcast  

So I decided to kind of lay out the three different paths. Blog, Youtube, and podcast

Once I broke it down I looked at each one individually and I asked myself a few questions to come up with the best path to take on my new adventure.

When I looked at each path I asked myself these things…..

1. Be honest with yourself about what you really want? Visualize yourself now and maybe a year from now?  Are you still doing it?
2. Does it feel right? Do you enjoy it? Are you passionate about it?  What does your gut tell you? Are you having fun?
3. Will this help others? 
4. Are you willing to do the work? Time, effort, commitment?
5. Are you asking everyone else what you should do or are you making the decisions? At the end of the day the only one responsible for your decision is YOU!

We will get into each one of these in the podcast and you can apply them in the worksheet that you download.

So after all the brainstorming, questions, and contemplating, YES it came down to the podcast, because YOU KNOW WHAT…….. I LOVE them, I Listen to them myself, and I know I can reach so many people to help in so many ways.

So believe in yourself and don’t regret not taking the chance on the one thing that could change your life. Ultimately I knew if I didn’t do this or at least try this I would always have a sense of regret.  I realized that even if I failed a little here and there I will always continue forward and take away lessons as I go.

So you'll find that in this podcast a lot of the episodes and topics I will cover are going to break down the topics into 3 paths (very similar to how I did it here and by the end of each episode you will have the tools you need to choose your own path and find your success. You will also find that most episodes will include a worksheet as well to help you get through it.

Hey there!! Welcome to the Choose Your Path Podcast.  I am so excited about this, I have been wanting to do a podcast for a REALLY long time but to be honest I had no idea what I wanted to do or exactly how to go about doing it.  But after some time I decided to jump in ……… And here’s why!

I grew up a military brat (my dad was in the Navy for 20 years), in a life of constant changes, overcoming obstacles and daily tests of my resilience helping to prepare me for the next phase of life.  

So I enlisted into the Army as a private two years after high school and then fast forward 25 years later, retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  Success….yes but not without so many years of trying to figure out my journey as I went.  I ran into countless obstacles, roadblocks and detours but always kept going, moving forward,figuring it out and adding those lessons learned to my life toolbox. 

After retirement, I jumped right in to instructing cadets at a local High School Army JROTC.  As I started working with Parents, and High School students, I realized very few young professionals (When I say young professional I mean between around 17-25 years old) have a plan!  I decided this podcast is going to be dedicated to using my experience and life lessons to help guide others on their journeys in life. 

My mission here is to share lessons I’ve learned through growing up in a constant state of transition, my career from Private through Lieutenant Colonel, High School teacher,  and all the other adventures to help set you up on your journey for success.
