In light of recent events and imminent decisions, there's been a lot of curiosity buzzing around the process of how to recall a city council member. Now, I don't think it's a great idea to recall someone for having an opinion, I think it's far better you support a candidate in the first place that aligns with your views. And considering voter turnout, it doesn't seem like people are doing that enough here. I think we should #PayCOSCityCouncil, frankly.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with my collar, either.

CoCo, or the Colorado Connector train, is on the precipice of becoming a reality. There's so much to be excited about, like not needing to drive to Pueblo, Denver or Fort Collins to enjoy them.

If we're going to change the shape of our city's leadership to best prepare it for the needs of the future, we've gotta pay the role a respectable amount, otherwise our selection of representatives will remain woefully limited.

Thanks to Steph Vigil and Renee Gonzalez for chatting with me about this. Don't worry, they've got plenty more to say about how we get there!

Thanks to Colorado Springs council member Kimberly Gold for chatting with me.

EDIT: This version of the podcast accidentally features a "Yolanda Avila" name plate over council president Lynette Crow-Iverson early on. Just, uh, ignore that.
