 The body uses the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste to obtain various information from the surroundings. However, we did not know where we feel the "heat" and "touch". It was unclear what receptors in the body were responding. A study by David Julius of the University of California, San Francisco, and Ardem Patapoutian of the Scripps Research Institute found them out!
