Teatro Nagual, founded by Richard Falcon in 2006, puts on bilingual plays, and various art experiences to bring stories of Latinos to life. 

Deanna is proud to be Mexican American! Her grandparents sacrificed so much to immigrate to a country where they didn’t know the language to give future generations in their family a better life. Those sacrifices are why she is here doing what she does today. That’s why taking time to celebrate is important to her. 

Darik shares that you can celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by strolling through one of the most cherished parks in Sacramento, Cesar Chavez park. By doing this, you're celebrating Hispanic heritage and honoring the great Mexican-American Cesar Chavez, who was one of the biggest champions for farm workers' rights.
