  • Bakacast - Sidonia Throws Dark

The next episode will probably feature a genocide or something.

This week on Bakacast, JoJo's finally reminds us why we love that series so much, Sidonia kills a whole lot of people, and Mekaku makes us wonder what the hell is even going on anymore.

    • Bakacast - Bug Got Your Tongue?

Brendan Fraser can probably help with that.

On this episode of Bakacast, we learn that the only shows that can continually impress are Mushi-shi and LoGH. Everything else is slightly less than perfect. On the plus side, Captain Earth is finally going somewhere.

        I guess I have Ene-fascination now.

After forgetting it the previous week, Larry and I catch up on the first two episodes of Ping Pong. Also, I decide to listen to our comments section (for once in my life) and check out Mekaku City Actors. Consider me pleasantly surprised.

This week, Knights of Sidonia proves to be well worth enduring its unfortunate animation quality, and JoJo's reminds us that, oh, yeah, this series gets pretty violent.

          • Bakacast - Mushi-shi is Perfect

Of course, you probably knew that already.

A new season is upon us, and it has blessed us with Mushi-shi and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure at the same time. Oh, and also another mecha show by BONES and the Star Driver staff. Almost all my wishes are coming true.

So yeah, I guess the winter season ended a while ago. If you can manage to pry yourselves away from JoJo (a difficult proposition, I know), you'll find our thoughts on the various endings and our overall series reviews. Also: why we should always trust fathomlessblue's warnings.

I'm experiencing Bleach flashbacks all of a sudden.

And so one of our winter season shows finally ends, not with a bang but a curt nod of approval and a quiet muttering of the words, "Yeah, that was fine." The timing works out pretty well, actually, since we'll be able to fit a review of the Noragami OVA into the week when everything else is ending. So look forward to that, you know, if you want to. It's not really my job to tell you what you should or should not look forward to.

This isn't what I meant when I said I wanted an audiobook.

On this week's episode, Samurai Flamenco baffles me with its continued existence, Silver Spoon is surprisingly touching, and Larry and I discover that we have very different priorities when it comes to vacation destinations.

Normally I like to keep a bit of space between episode uploads, but this one was so late I'll just suck it up and put up the next one tomorrow.

                      About Bakacast

                      From the publisher's feed

Every week, a bunch of pretentious wise guys sit around and review the latest anime. Sometimes it all ends up making sense, but sometimes it doesn't. These...are their stories.
