Our mission to help broken people is as important as how we do it. Fancy light shows and glorified church programs is not going to accomplish God's will. The only way we can fulfill God's mission is if we fix our focus on Him.

With all of the chaos of the holiday season it's so easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas. The greatest gift we could ever receive is the gift of Jesus Christ. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us because we could not make through life without HIm. The sacrifice that Jesus made here on earth has covered us and set us free.

Jesus went throughout the countryside healing the sick, making the lame walk, restoring sight to the blind and casting out evil spirits. We can't wait for broken people to come to us. We must go out in The Spirit and seek them. Make a difference in the lives of others. God in Christ has called you

When you accept Jesus into your life, you become the carrier of something vital that everyone needs: salvation. The gift of grace is the oldest story in the book and it's the most powerful. With Jesus as the example we learn that it's not enough to receive, but we must also give. As spirit-filled followers of Jesus we must strive to give like Jesus. That means that we must strive to go where no one else is going; do what no one else is doing; and give what no one will give.

The most important lesson to learn as a church is the importance of serving. However, it's not enough just to find a place to serve. As spirit-filled followers of Jesus we must learn to serve like Jesus. In order to serve like Jesus we must have the same attitude of humility that He did. In turn, our actions should reflect His attitude.

As spirit-filled followers of Jesus it is important that we understand the significance of relationship. With Jesus as our example we see that it is possible to relate on many different levels. The most important relationship is the one we have with the Heavenly Father.

With Jesus as our prime example we see that there is humility in learning in that Jesus was always willing to listen and learn from God and most importantly, submit to His teachings. As spirit-filled followers of Jesus we must strive to learn like Jesus. The more we learn and the more teachable we become; the easier it is to submit to God's will for us.

The first measure of importance is to "Pray Like Jesus." Using this measure begins to help us to achieve balance in our spiritual lives. We need to develop a strong consistent prayer life. God cares about the quality and not quantity of our prayers to Him. Our private prayer life is paramount to God. And especially so, if we are praying for God's will to be done.
