Balderdash Academy

In September we took a break after ending Season One and developed Balderdash Academy's Teacher's Lounge. Before we settled on the narrative improv format we were playing around with new game ideas. Steve presented a version of his "Steve's Brain" game. This one proved too long for inclusion into the game show or Teacher's Lounge, but it was too good to let go.

Professor Marie tried to order a quiche from everyone's favorite lunch lady, Debbie Debris.

What do you get when you mix a serialized sketch improv with the effects from an old-time radio show? You get Balderdash Academy's Teacher's Lounge. What was once a bonus podcast has gotten too big for the platform and sprung off into its own series. Listen to the rest of Episode 13, now playing on your favorite podcast service.

There's a call at the Blue Spotted Fraghole and it's all hands for the BCPD, if dispatch can get them all to go.

Here's a special message from our co-founder, Headmaster Bob LeBlanc.  We'll be back in the spring. In the meantime check out our Teacher's Lounge podcast!

Wait, isn't this an off-week? That's right, but the first season of our main show is over, so we're filling the space with more Teacher's Lounge.

In this Teacher's Lounge, Coach Steve comes into an unexpected inheritance and we get to see him navigate the pitfalls of it all.

We're all celebrating the big VD here at the school. That's right. Valentine's Day. While the staff plan for the big dance we meet some students from Professor McGill's Adult ELA class. Get some new music in the stacks of the local record store, and then settle into Mort and Mindy's ASMR Corner and Flip Axeman's House of Heavy Metal on Balder 97.5. All this and more on Balderdash Academy Teacher's Lounge.

In this episode of the Teacher's Lounge, we prepare for the annual Balderdash Film Festival. We listen to the BCPD on the scanner and find out that there's a report of a robbery in the village. We hear the pitches for some of the submissions and check-in with the PPP Pawnshop to look for some of the stolen items. We stop into the Balder Dash & Dine for lunch and pick up some unnamed items from Tender Vittles.  And finally, we listen to Mort and Minty as they sit in for Flip Axeman on Balder 97.5 House of Heavy Metal.

Balderdash Academy: Teacher's Lounge features more relaxed bits that embrace our comedy improv roots. So kick back, relax, and have a laugh along with us in this podcast-only exclusive.
