Balearic FM Podcast

Welcome to Balearic FM Minimal Sessions 006 with SAViSTO.

For this session, I wanted to showcase the deeper, more hypnotic side of minimal and deep tech—music built on groove, subtle tension, and moments that reveal themselves over time. This mix brings together artists whose productions have inspired me recently, alongside tracks that have become secret weapons in my DJ sets.

From the rolling energy of Triptil and Kolter to the warm textures of Tuccillo & The Checkup, and my own track "Don't Give Up", this journey moves through stripped-back rhythms, intricate percussion, and immersive atmospheres designed for both dancefloors and headphones alike.

As someone who has spent decades DJing, producing, and releasing music on labels including ORIGINS, DOBAR House and 63b, I'm always searching for records that balance emotion with groove—and this mix is a reflection of that ongoing journey.

Whether you're listening at sunset, on a late-night drive, or getting lost on the dance.

My heart is heavy this month as I mourn the recent passing of Philipp Jung, an exceptional DJ and producer, half of the legendary duo MANDY, co-founder of the seminal label, Get Physical, creator of its sister labels Kindisch and Metaphysical, and a man who I feel privileged to have known as a friend.

Every track herein is something Philip brought to my ears and my heart, whether as a producer, label boss, or as a DJ behind some of my most memorable nights — and mornings — on the dance floor.

I’ve also included a few clips of his bright and beautiful thoughts, from a recent interview. (full interview: https://tinyurl.com/54snjepk)

Rest in peace, Philipp Jung.

I’ll see you in the next dimension.

I write a bunch of the software that powers the station, and right before I started my set I pushed out a new release ... which had a bug. And because it's production-level software I had to fix the bug **while** I was playing the show. So, maybe it isn't my most perfect execution ever. And, the show was short of my usual 2 hours. But hey - a live broadcast is always subject to real-life, eh? And, it turned out pretty good in spite of all that. Enjoy!.
