The Chargers started the Jim Harbaugh Era with a performance they hope becomes typical: winning the rushing and turnover battles (176-71, 3-0) on the way to controlling the 4th quarter to victory. JK Dobbins won't go for 135 yards every week but we know it's on the table. Trade for Gus Edwards. 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey was a surprise inactive to most people Monday night vs the Jets AND IS NOW REPORTED TO PROBABLY MISSING WEEK 2 but his backup Jordan Mason will be ready to fill in again vs the Vikings. Cousin Puka Nacua reaggravated a knee injury he suffered in training camp and has been put on Injured Reserve and will miss at least four weeks (Rams coach McVay says possibly more).
