Welcome to the Ballinesian Podcast, we are Samoans talking sports. This week we're going over the NFL Conference Championships and who made it to Super Bowl LX.

The Patriots completed their playoff run against three Top 5 defenses, en route to their first Super Bowl appearance in seven years, by holding the Broncos to 7 points. The Seahawks defense was able to hold the Rams scoreless in the 4th quarter to advance, 24-31, and continue their Revenge Tour. We'll talk about whether the Pats are Super Bowl "frauds" and who the Seahawks real MVP is.

There's also news that former Patriots coach Bill Belichick did not garner enough votes to make into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. We think that's crazy. No one has more rings. What's the HOF criteria anyway? We'll compare Belichick to the other coaches in the Hall, including the three that DID make it in on their first ballot.

In NFL news, the Chargers are signing former Dolphins' head coach Mike McDaniel as their new OC; constant pre-snap motion to help dissect defenses, interior run lanes and cutbacks leading to big play-action passes over the top and just some general weirdness are all things to expect from LAC. We'll roll that into an update on the current NFL Coaching Carousel, including where the Raiders should look to for their next head coach after the market lost John Harbaugh, Kevin Stefanski, Robert Saleh and Jeff Hafley to new jobs with the Giants, Falcons, Titans and Dolphins respectively.

We will finish with our picks in Sunday's two Conference Championship games between the Patriots and Broncos and the Rams and Seahawks.

This episode, we'll start with the Chargers 3-16 Wildcard round loss in New England. The Chargers were unable to capitalize on a good start, slowly but surely watching their playoff lives slip away as the Patriots defense confounded and confused the Chargers' offensive line, eventually sacking Justin Herbert six times. After another underwhelming Wildcard performance, the Chargers released OC Greg Roman on Tuesday.

We will go through each of the Divisional Round games and give our picks: The Bills travel to Denver, the Niners head north to Seattle, the Texans and Patriots prepare for a defensive showcase in New England, and the Rams head to Chicago as a 3.5-point favorite against the Bears.

Steelers longtime head coach Mike Tomlin resigned Tuesday. After 19 years and no losing seasons, Tomlin reportedly has a analyst job at FOX in his back pocket and can semi-retire while still supplying his football experience for the betterment of all. Or he could coach again immediately for one of the seven other NFL teams that are without a head coach.
