BALLINESIAN PODCAST ON THE POLYTICKIN NETWORK
Welcome to an hour-long distraction from the newest US War. We are Samoans talking sports, covering the biggest Pacific Islander athlete and sports stories of the week. We talked about former Chargers DL Breiden Fehoko last Twitter post, where he lambasted the league's response to a player's death by suicide as hollow and insincere, saying "they post these mental health awareness posts talking about they care about players “don’t be afraid to reach out”etc. All they care about is what you bring to the table when it’s game day". And we're inclined to mostly agree with him. (You can also check out the latest exclusive episode at patreon.com/thepolytickinpodcast for more on that topic from Lance and OhHelloMarcus.)
In our main topic for today, we're highlighting the four Pacific Islander offensive lineman that could be picked in the 1st round of next month's 2026 NFL Draft and their Combine testing and measurements. We will also update which players got franchised tagged and are getting PAID (short-term) before last Tuesday's deadline and which did not, opening them up to become free agents in a few weeks.
We'll also update the latest on our Book Reading and content plans for that, as well as Coach Forest helping to host a trading card get together for kids.
And tune into our shout outs for big ups to our people and for birthday shout outs!
