In this episode, we go over what a balloon pump is and what it does for our cardiac patients. Balloon pumps have become more common in many different ICUs and not just the CCUs or CVICUs. This is a great overview of what the balloon pump is and what it does but it is not a replacement for the instruction that you will get in your facility. Always follow your hospital's policy and procedures.
