Bang Average

Shocks, surprises and superb football: The World Cup has been fantastic and the Last 16 was no exception. John and Ryan get together to talk England's chances, where to invest next round and talk shit about Mike in his rare absence.

Serbia 0 - 2 Brazil

Switzerland 2 - 2 Costa Rica

Mexico 0 - 3 Sweden

South Korea 2 - 0 Germany

It actually happened, The Germans completed a terrible tournament and crashed out, losing to South Korea of all people. Sweden impressed with a win against previously impressive Mexico while Brazil made easier work of their final group game. MikeP and John give you the breakdown and fantasy impact.

Australia 0 - 2 Peru

Denmark 0 - 0 France

Iceland 1 - 2 Croatia

Nigeria 1 - 2 Argentina

After plenty of drama, the favorites sneaky through Group's C & D, which makes us sad here at Bang Average. Iceland and Nigeria crash out, Peru at least get a W on the board. MikeP and John pour one out for their homies.

Uruguay 3- 0 Russia

Saudi Arabia 2 - 1 Egypt

Iran 1 - 1 Portugal

Spain 2 - 2 Morocco

Ryan returns in a bumper edition of the World Cup Diary, he and Mike talk Group A expectations, Group B's last minute changes and the ever so controversial VAR usage. With a look back at England's performance and an update on MikeP's magnificent mustache, there's more pod than ever!

England 6 - 1 Panama

Japan 2 - 2 Senegal

Columbia 3 - 0 Poland

England blow Panama away in the first half. Columbia trounce Poland. Japan all but qualify. The second matchweek is over. There's loads for MikeP to cover in today's diary entry, but as always he somehow manages to do bits.

Belgium 5 - 2 Tunisia

South Korea 1 - 2 Mexico

Germany 2 - 1 Sweden

A dramatic day for World Cup action, but what to do with faltering German stars, Mexico's unexpected heroes and Belgium's key players who have more than delivered, but may not start in match week 3. MikeP breaks down the day.

Brazil 2 - 0 Costa Rica

Nigeria 2 - 0 Iceland

Serbia 1 - 2 Switzerland

With Brazil getting a late win, Nigeria’s impressive performance and the Swiss winning late against unfortunate Serbia, there’s plenty for Mike and John to discuss.

Denmark 1 - 1 Australia

France 1 - 0 Peru

Argentina 0 - 3 Croatia

Our own Fantasy Gaffer breaks down France scraping through the group, Denmark stumbling against the Aussies and Argentina's catastrophic performance against Croatia.

Uruguay 1 - 0 Saudi Arabia

Portugal 1 - 0 Morocco

Iran 0 - 1 Spain

Trip one-nil scorelines tells the story of an uninspiring fantasy day at the World Cup, despite some interesting games. MikeP guides you through some disappointing performances and higher hopes for tomorrow's stars.

Columbia 1 - 2 Japan

Poland 1 - 2 Senegal

Egypt 1 - 3 Russia

The first match day is done, the second is started and MikeP has to eat a little crow as Russia almost certainly make it through the knockout stages. They still stink though.
