  • Alley Cat
Circa 1960 "easy listening" instrumental, sometimes used as background (aka "elevator") music. Original orchestral version recorded by Bent Fabric. This version features Ernie "Mac" MacDougal on guitar with Paul Bock playing the banjo break in the middle. Recorded mid-1960s by the Dutch Gap Ramblers aboard USS BELMONT (AGTR-4).

  • Go In and Out the Window
This tune comes from Owen "Snake" Chapman, from his "Up In Chapman's Hollow" album (Rounder Records). I wish I could finger pick it like Paul Smith--maybe some day. But it is pretty fun for clawhammer style too. There are a lot more notes in the fiddle melody, so this is my banjo version of the tune. Banjo (Enoch Dobson with 11" rim) is tuned in Double D (aDADE).

  • Return Of The Grievous Angel
I made my own banjo arrangement for it.
Arrangement, guitars, banjo, vocals, mixing by Janna Kim.
I heared this song in the first time from Jack Clift - a man who came to Uzbekistan some years ago and brought me my Nechville Athena banjo as a present from banjo enthusiasts from around the Globe. I asked him to sing me a cowboy song in the hotel and he sang this song. I liked it very much. And I decided to learn it and sing also.
I made it at home using only my mobile phone as a microphone for recording instruments and my voice and computer to compose drums and other arrangement and to mix it all together.
